lost IP address
After loading up W7 and installing latest Norton Internet Security 2009 with full network accessW7 cannot find the IP address. Now I have no network access.My 2nd pc works fine on internet (XP pro). I have justbought a new router, cable, ADSL filter so it's not hardware related. | I've tried disabling firewalls, using port forwarding, setting up a DMZ, all to no avail. Is it likely to be the NIS? I see on another forum (security) that NIS2009 is not beta tested... ;)

I think your problem is caused by NIS2009.You need an updated version of Norton Internet Security 2009 for Windows 7.More information can be found at http://www.symantec.com/norton/theme.jsp?themeid=windows7Ray
