looking for network security code and passphrase
I am trying to get online using a wireless network at work.It continues to ask for a network security code and passphrase.My computer uses Vista the work computer uses XP if that means anything.Can someone tell me where to find this info on XP? Windows 7.Thank you.1 person needs an answerI do too

If they are restricting access to the internet or internal network they are the only ones that can answer the question. It is called network security to keep people out that the business doesn't want in.

The computer's name will need to be entered into the database of computers in your domain server. An account would need to be provided for the person to sign in on the laptop if that person has a static profile on their work computer. Most home based network computers have a workgroup set in their network settings and not domain name. SSID needs to be set the same on the WAP and the laptop, the security code (WPA, WEP, etc.) needs to be set on the laptop to what is set on the WAP also.

If you have a wireless access point like a wireless router can see the info by browsing with IE to the management interface of the wireless router/access point. Base on the brand of your router they have a management IP address which you can enter on the browser address bar.
