The possible software and hardware problems are multitudinous.
I personally use the programs previously mentioned.
I can also recommend:
Personal Security Inspector, the free version thereof, from Secunia.
The link is: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/
I can also recommend the Belarc Security Advisor. The link is:

I hope that a combo of the suggestions you receive will satisfy your needs.

Hi,
What specifically is wrong with your PC? A local computer tech is much better than a lot of those fix it all up programs which end up creating more problems anyways. The cleaner, simpler, lell loaded the pc, the better! There are also techs that you can
grant access to them to remotely check your pc and fix problems, but again, what are the specific problems you are dealing with?
As far as generic maintenance, get a good AV like Security Essentials from Microsoft and a good spyware cleaner like malwarebytes.org anti malware.

Here's my advice: avoid like the plague all programs that purport to
do that. None of them do what they say they do, and they are more
likely to cause you problems than to fix them.
