logon and logoff options in Vista
how do I change the way a user logon and logoff in Vista I want to remove the settings like in Windows XP for user account (I use tochange thewelcome screen and fast user switching) these I could uncheck in windows XP. Now in windows Vista I can not find them at all. In Vista can I set up the computer like before?

As Vista is still in beta cycle, this option is not available and maybe not. Good luck

The Logon and logoff can be somewhat controled vis group policies are you part of a domain or standalone computer ?

This is a Stand a lone computer, in xp I can go to start, control panel, user acconts and change the "Change the way uers lon on or off" and uncheck the two boxes in a stand a lone xp system. How can I do this in Vista

1. Click Start run 2. Type netplwiz in the search-box and press enter. 3. Select the user you want to automatically and then uncheck the box reading Users must enter a username and password to use this computer. auto-login 4. Enter your password when prompted leave empty if none. 5. Click OK.
