My Aunt is locked out of her computer. She has a Dell laptop with windows 8.1 on it. On the password screen it show's an outlook email address that she didn't make and none of her passwords work. Is there a way to get around this? We can't even restore her computer back with out a password. We just want to get to the desktop so we can change or do away with her password. We went on the Microsoft site to retrieve her password, but she has never used the outlook password before and her email address that she always used is gone. She is elderly and doesn't know that much about computers.

IN win 8.1 you/she probably has  something called a Microsoft ID.  Generally speaking it would have asked for one when setting up the computer.  That is what the computer is looking for.  If she does not remember the ID one way to get back in is to do a reset to factory which would make the computer exactly how it was when she got it.  She would have to install all of her apps and the data would be gone but it would give her the opportunity to set up the computer again.  If she remembers what the email address is for the MS ID then she can go to the below to reset the password
