log on lync client error

hello all , 

I installed lync server and configured it , i have access to https://<yourca.fqdn>/CertSrv and all is fine. i did a copy past of the certificate of lync to windows 7(my client)

when I tried to open lync client I have this error: "we are having trouble connecting to the server lync"

I khnow that I have to insert this certificate to the trusted group but how? I tried something but concedring the error message , i conclued that something wrong.

in teh DNS manager , i configured admin,meet and dialin and _srvinternaltls

any help??

It's not the certificate of Lync that you need in your PC Client, it's rather the AD root certificate that you need to import in the "Trusted root certification" folder (the default wizard will put it in the intermediate certification authorities which is not the good folder).

Anyway, the error "We are having trouble connecting to the server lync" is not related (at least so far) with the Certificate.

Could you trace the login process in the Lync Client and post the log file here ?

The list of potential problems is very large and the details that you gave cannot let me narrow this list. 

Are all services running in the FE ?

Can you telnet to 5061 to the lync FE ?

Does the autodiscover URL gives you back an XML response ?

Do all clients don't work ? Or only your PC ? ...

thank you for your help jaafar,

notice that when I try to make the discover automaticly i have an" error with my DNS" , and when i do it manually , the error is "we are having trouble connecting to the server"

I CREATE UNDER MY DNS SRV RECORDS (_sipinternaltls,5061) and under ,y domain CNAME, admin,meet and dialin

i joined my pc to the domain and the ping cmd works
