Processes running under Local Service account? -- this could be any number of valid processes. I'd say less than 10 is "normal".

What steps, exactly, are you taking to try and configure this thing?When I deploy a WRT54GS I just plug it into the network, connect a computer to it (via cable, preferably) and access it via IP address (usuallyhttp://192.168.1.1 if I recall correctly) in my web browser (IE or Firefox usually).
