try knocking power off to your router for 30 seconds, i've had a similar issue(might be the same number but cant find the note i made of it) a couple of times and removing power to the router has solved it each time. Note removing the power connection is not the same as doing a hard reset of the router, so all your settings should stay intact. If that doesnt work have you updated any software in the last couple of days? Double check your firewall settings and make sure messenger has access through the firewall.

Hi MantariThere was a recent Windows Update for the Windows Live Sign-in Assistant distributed for Windows 7 beta that may have something to do with the behavior you are experiencing. It doesn't appear that this update can be uninstalled.I recommend going to the main Live ID support website and looking at the following page for troubleshooting steps. Why can't I sign in?If this does not solve the problem, try the Main Live Messenger Support Website.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP

Did you manage to resolve the problem? If so can you post how you solved it, in case others come across the same issue.
