Hi Kim Zhou,
Thanks for the reply.
My Remote Procedure Call(RPC) is already started and set to automatic.
when i tried to troubleshoot the problem, this is what i get : "Problem with wireless adapter or access point"
I've try to reboot my router, and try to connect to 2 networks, try to connect with lan cable, but still no luck
oh,and by the way, when i try ipconfig /all, i get ip of 169.254.28.137<Preferred> and no Default Gateway. I saw it somewhere that they say if i get ip169.xxx it means its an APIPA address,
and that might be the issue

Hi all
I've been searching through the web for this problem, but couldn't find it.
I've tried :
- to reboot the router and mode
- tried to create a local network
- uninstall and re install the driver
- tried connect with cable
- disabling bonjour
- tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew but the results are: "An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection : The RPC server is unavailable"
- tried netsh winsock reset
- set static IP
- tried flushing the dns
and none of them are working. I've no idea about what's wrong.
and I noticed that on the networking and sharing center, it stated that The dependency service or group failed to start.
Here are what it looks (on the command prompt, it's the result of ipconfig /all)
Any help greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Timothy

You have obtained APIPA. Try:
1. ipconfig /release
2. ipconfig /renew
3. If no ip is assigned, try static settings (IP, Mask, DG)
4. I have had following problem and the only remedy was replacement ADSL router.

Hi Milos,
thanks for the reply.
I've tried ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew but I get "An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection : The RPC server is unavailable.
I've tried to use static IP as well, but it didn't help too.

Hi,
At this time, I recommend assigning a static IP address manually for a test. Please note, you should assign the Gateway, Sub Mask and DNS also.
In addition, you may disable and re-enable DHCP function on Router site by referring to the device provider website.Kim Zhou
