hello, i upgraded my lenovo t500 to windows 7 a while ago and ever since i upgraded, my laptop has not been able to detect wifi. The only way I can use the internet is with a cable. I am on windows 7 32 bit. What other information do you need to begin diagnosing my problem? thank you

hai, I guess the problem that you are facing currently is clearly due to the inappropriate drivers. Now what you have to do here is that just see whether the drivers are properly installed or not and if they are not then you have to make the proper installation. So install the latest and the updated drivers based on the system and if you are not having it with you then you can download the same from the official site of Lenovo and then can install it. i followed the instructions to manually identify my drivers and the only one under network adapters is "Intel(R) 82567LM Gigabit Network Connection". I tried to update it and it said it was up to date.

when i try to install that one it says " unable to execute file: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANRLTK\Setup.exe CreateProcess failed; code 740. The requested operation requires elevation." EDIT: I ran it with administrator and it worked, but in the end it said "Sorry! we do not support this operation system !!"

how would i go about doing a fresh installation? do i just pop the cd in? will al my current files and data be saved? EDIT: the way i got windows 7 on this computer was with a windows 7 home premium upgrade from vista disk. Just in case if that is important.

Not neccessary to install the wireless drivers unless is not detected under device manager or with an exclamation mark as most devices would be detected by windows 7 & assign drivers itself during the installation. So pls verify it under device manager that the wireless network is detected and also under network & sharing center If the drivers is fine but still not detected, what you can do is add ur wireless network by going to network & sharing center>add a wireless device to the network and see how it goes Lastly are you using your laptop with a wireless router?
