latest Win7 SP1 update error code 80070005
i have tried to install this update 6 different times. i've done all of the recommendations. i have removed '3rd party antivirus software. i have followed the 'reset.bat' method also. And i am the admin. Nothing is working.... HELP PLEASE. what else can i do?

Hi, to see the cause of Windows 7 update/Sp1 failures, we must look for error messages in the file CBS.log. Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder, also copy the setupapi.dev.log from the folder C:\Windows\Inf and the file "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log" to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload it), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here. i don't know what you are talking about. i know you are trying to help but i am just a average, not very tech savvy kinda guy. is your advise going to help resolve this or will i just get more confused? it seems hundreds of others are having the same problem. if not worse. i am downloading a 'system update readiness tool from MS but i don't really know if thats going to help solve the issue of installing the updates either. i may end up not installing it after all. with all the activity thats going on in the tech forums, i may just take a 'wait and see attitude'. anyways thanks for trying to help.

I can't see anything from your logs. Run the System Update Readiness Tool [1], next sfc /scannow [2] and if both detetc now issues, run the Sp1 again. If you the Sp1 fails again, upload the new logs and upload ALL files from the CBS folder.
