lan behaving wierd
The lan connection goes on n off, on n off, on n off, it keeps on doing that like for 50 times, then the connection is connected at 1.0 Gbps, whereas its usual speed is 100 Mbps. But when its connected at 1 Gbps, nothing works on lan. The dsl, computer connected through the lan, nothing. Can anyone tell me the cause/problem? I have tried reseting the tcp/ip settings but didnt work. It keeps on giving the ' network cabel unplugged' error message and then connects and then again the error message and then connects. Link Speed & Duplex is set to Auto negotiation. I tried setting it to 100 Mbps full and 100 Mbps half duplex but it still keeps on disconnecting-connecting. I have this lan card : Realtek RTL8168D(P)/8111D(p) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. The device manager tells me everything with this hardware is working fine. But when the lan stabilizes, nothing works. 2 people need an answerI do too

Hi Harmeetsingh, Thanks for posting. Have you uninstalled the driver and reinstalled with the latest one? If you cannot locate the lasted driver please let us know either the make and model of the PC or motherboard, and we can assist in locating it. Hope this helps!Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST Microsoft Answers Support Engineer Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
