We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

As previously requested by Team Zigzag, please provide the DMP as instructed in their reply so that we may determine the cause of your blue screens. More information regarding the KMODE error message can be found here at Bug Check.

Most times blue screens are caused by defective drivers. The DMP file would show us which driver may be causing the problem. If you wish to try repairing the blue screen, you can try the following:

  1. As the computer restarts, press F8 key continuously to display the Advanced Boot Options screen.
  2. On Advanced Boot Options screen, select Safe Mode with Networking by pressing down arrow key, and press Enter.
  3. Once started in safe mode, log on to Windows 8 computer with the administrator account.
  4. Click Desktop tile from the Start screen to go to the desktop screen.
  5. Once on the desktop screen, right-click the mouse on the Windows Start icon and select Control Panel.
  6. On the opened All Control Panel Items window, click Device Manager.
  7. On Device Manager window, expand the Other devices category.
  8. Once expanded, right-click Unknown device whose drivers are to be installed or updated.
  9. From the context menu that appears, click Update Driver software to install the driver of the selected device.
  10. On Update Driver Software Unknown Device box, click Search automatically for updated driver software to install the latest driver of the device from the Internet.    Alternatively Browse my computer for device software to install the drivers manually located in the hard disk.
  11. Wait till the selected driver gets installed from the Internet and restart the Windows 8 computer normally when done.

If you have difficulties accessing the Advanced Boot Options, please do the following:

  1. Click the Power button at the Windows login screen or in the Settings charm. Then, press and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard and click Restart.
  2. Windows asks you to choose an option. Press Troubleshoot.
  3. In the Troubleshoot screen, press Advanced options.
  4. In the Advanced options screen, press Startup Settings.
  5. Press Restart.
  6. Press number 5 to Enable Safe Mode with Networking.
  7. Once your computer boots back up, log in and proceed with the above procedure.
