keyloading; crediitals include virtualapp/didlogical
Well folks, using Norton Security Software, and Internet Explorer 8, I am soon, if not as I type, the victim of an identity thief. I am just a nice good lady in way, way over her head! Any one available to offer advise as to where I can find the logs created by the keyload program, or a clue where to find that. My poor machine, running Win7 is only about two months old...Best Buy Geek Squid suggested I format my hard drive, and pray! Well so far I AM Breathless about all this. I have searched high and low, over the net and on the hard drive for pertinent information, and as last resort have come here for advise. Thanks.

I just added a new e-mail account to Hotmail today. I noticed that the name of the new account showed up in my Credential Manager along with the name vituralapp/didlogical. I also had the Windows Live ID Messanger pop up with the name of the new e-mail account on it. I did not have the Windows Live ID running on my computer before this nor do I want it to run now. I believe that is the way the virtualapp/didlogical got in. If you have Windows Live ID, I would delete it, and see if that solves your problem.

Lauren, I have been running both Hotmail and Messenger for years now. I do not believe these programs have anything to do with our problem. This (these) SOB's want our credit card numbers, or total right out identity theft. I was awake one night about four AM, calmly reading about Buddhism, and low and behold someone tried to open my System Information three times in front of my eyes. I watched it on my Taskbar! I kept closing it, and someone kept trying to reopen it. That is when I was alerted to a Security Breech, and low and behold in my Credentials' file I found the sinister vituralapp/didlogical. I check my Credentials file almost daily now, just in case, as well as unplugging my cable when I am not in front of an open screen. I run scans all the time, and turn off my monitor routinely as I run them, but am a lot wiser now than ever before. I also have switched to Kaspersky Anti-Virus, which was loaded for me by the Best Buy Geek Squad when they "dry-cleaned" my machine for me; and Mozilla Firefox. Wikipedia has some great information on key logging, etc. for another interested in researching this topic. -Eugenie L. (Genie) Wagner
