keyboard keeps changing so that keys are not what I type. I change the language and it works for a while but the problem still comes back.  Is it my keyboard?
When I press the keys they are different to what I have pressed. Hi,1. Did you make any changes to the computer recently? Please check whether you face the same issue while logging in the safe mode. It is a possibility that one of the non-Microsoft application or a driver is causing this issue. Refer to the article below for safe mode steps in Windows XPA description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222b. Hi.Does the keyboard work alright until you shutdown the PC and then change back to the old setting upon start up or does it happen randomly? One possible answer is that you have a different keyboard language set as the default. When you restart the computer, even if you have changed the keyboard to something different, the keyboard will revert back to the default setting.Another possibility is that if it happens at every start up then I would suggest you do some scans for malware/viruses. A good malware scanner is Malwarebytes and you could also use Spybot Search & destroy as well. I take it you already have an AV program. If you think my answers are helpful please vote and mark as possible answer. Thank you.
