just added add'l windows 7 partition and cant get on original partion..help!
i just added another partition with windows 7 for some music software..I1 machine 2 partitions with windows 7)..i was able to get on both a couple times....after restarting to get on other partion it said it neeeded to be repaired and recovered it....
after that i logged in like usual then the screen just stays black...same thing happens in safe mode
and i can still access files from the corrupt partition from the newly added partition
what am i to do?

Why would you need 2 Partitions both with an Operating system when you should be able to
use one Partition with the OS and access the music software on the other partition that way.

Sounds like you need to do a Start Up Repair by means of the W7 DVD,

i had latency trouble and they said u want to have this software completely isolated, i went W7 disc route no dice.....looks like me screwed
system restore was also empty

I am wondering how was Windows 7 installed on the newly added partition? Please try the suggestions in this article and see if the issue can be resolved:
Install more than one operating system (multiboot)
