is a seperate anti virus product neccessary in xp mode in windows 7
getting security alerts that no anti virus is installed while in xp mode

Just a thought, is there a AV in the first place? Inregard of which OS, is advisable to install a AV on your rig

Hi 1stbasecoach, I would like to share following information with you. I also strongly recommend that customers install anti-malware and anti-virus software in Windows XP Mode so that Windows XP Mode environment is well protected. (Windows XP Mode RC Now Available)Hope it helps.

If xp mode is connected to the internet it would be just as susceptible to infection as any conventional online sytem would be and therefore would also need to be protected with antivirus.
