any extension ending in random lettering ie eeihfhnbnfemlajfadhbpdfiipncebld what you posted is not something
you would want on your computer.

I saw some other related questions regarding the new Windows 8.1 and how tabs were minimizing randomly.... I use Chrome but not through Windows 8, even though my laptop has Windows 8. Recently, a tab pops open and says, "Your constant guard protection
suite chrome extension is out of date, upgrade now," but I rarely use Constant Guard but I do use Norton, if that makes any difference. The URL is http://services.whiteskyservices.com/addons/chrome/install.aspx?id=eeihfhnbnfemlajfadhbpdfiipncebld
. It won't go away, but I haven't clicked it yet-- just hoping it isn't some virus on my computer!!
Thanks!

Hi toribredy,
Regarding 3rd-party related issue, please consider seek help at their official site for detailed help.
Besides, if you have any further issues when using Windows 8, we could discuss them together at this forums.
Thank you for your understanding.

Tori,
I got the same pop-up and I FOR SURE am not going to install it. Nowhere does it say Norton on it. I'm VERY suspicious. If I can find a way to clear it out, I'll update you and let you know.
Good luck with it!

I found this on Comcast's web site...
https://constantguard.comcast.net/cgps-alert
Hope that helps. Indicates that White Sky is someone that Comcast has contracted with. But I'm still not going to install it. I think I'm going to uninstall my CG and just use Norton.

I'm getting the "Next Step: Install the FCPS extension for Chrome" alert page every time I open Chrome.. there is no explanation on the screen about anything (no why, who is white sky, etc..)
I tried going to setting -- > extension, but the only extensions I have enabled are google docs.
not sure how to remove this strange screen.. any advice?

Did you check what your home page settings and start up pages settings just to make sure that it didn't hijack those settings?

WhiteSky is a scam and a piece of junk. It installed itself when I installed Connect. I wish I had never trusted Comcast.
DON'T INSTALL THIS TROJAN.
