internet limited access, but it works using static IP
Hi, To make sure there is no problem in your router, try to connect to other router to check if the issue persist. if no problem, you should check the setting in your router. If the issue persist, let me know what software did you install recently. Some customer indicate that after install Norton would cause this problem. If its, try to uninstall it or update to the latest. ARP attack may cause this issue, scan your system is also need. Finally, you can try to repair TCP/IP stack, the below link would guide you how to do: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357 Let me know the result

Sounds like DHCP isn't working on your network. Make sure you have only one DHCP server (router), and that your own network adapter is set to default settings to use DHCP.

Hi all, I've had this problem for few days, that my laptop cannot connect to the internet as it is connected with limited access. After trying many solutions, finally it works when I set a static IP on it. But is there any way to make it work with DHCP? I think the problem when using DHCP is that, I get APIPA for my IP adress( 169.254.23.137 ) and no default gateway. Is there any way to fix it? Regards, Tim
