internet issues after installing service pack 3
i tried to install a new router the other day, but it said my windows needed to be updated to install it, so i turned on the automotic updater and it installed service pack 3. i was able to install the router driver, but now my fire fox application doesn't work. internet explorer displays many websites all wrong, and it won't let me log into some websites. also the bottom right corner of the desktop now says "this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation."any idea how to fix this? i'm guessing it's cause this computer came with windows dark edition and the update wasn't compatible with it, but i don't know (a friend gave me this computer.)1 person needs an answerI do too

Routers shouldn't need a driver on your PC. Routers are external devices that simply make sure the network traffic reaches the proper network device. If I were you, I'd restore to a system restore point prior to when you installed whatever it is you installed.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]--------------------------------https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Brian.TillmanIf a reply helps, please vote it as helpful.
