internet explorer 8 stopped working after xp service pack 3 install
I have (IE) Internet Explorer 8. Unfortunatly XP service pack 3 did an Auto Install yesterday. IE immediatly stopped working. I am able to open IE without Add ons, as suggested in another form. After individually enabling add ons I discovered it is the Yahoo toolbar that shuts of the IE. The version of Yahoo toolbar is 7.0.1. I need the Yahoo Bookmarks I have stored over the years for my research, this is part of the Toolbar. Is there a compatability issue with this version of SP3 and Yahoo Toolbar? Please help resolve this. I triied sysrestore to remove SP3 but it did not correct the new problem. I also noticed that IE 8 was also modified in the auto update. There is also no way to remove SP3 in the add/remove programs. BIG PROBLEM. So far the Yahoo Toolbar looks promising but I need further information and direction. Thanks 1 person needs an answerI do too

I do know that the Yahoo toolbar is causing issues, and I do know that Yahoo is aware of it and working on a fix. But the people that know best reside in the IE forum, not here.Internet Explorer Forumhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/threadsBruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
