I'm trying to install the Epson LQ-570+ to my new laptop that runs on windows 8. It has always been connected to my laptop with a usb cord but now It will not install and the tech support team didnt have an answer for me. Can anyone help? do I need to change compatibility mode?
Have you tried installing the drivers from its official website?
What error are you receiving?
Have you tried connecting to different USB port?
yes, you can try to run compatibility mode
Right click the installer>properties>compatibility>choose OS

or did you try manual install? try to perform Windows update before do this
Click Add a Printer. (If you do not see Add a Printer, right-click in the Printers window and select Add Printer from the menu.)
Select Add a local printer when the Add Printer wizard window appears.
Select the port or USB the printer is connected to from the drop down window beside Use an existing port or USB , then click Next.
Select Epson under Manufacturer and your printer model under Printer, then click Next.
In the Type a Printer Name window, Set as the default printer is automatically selected. Uncheck this option if you have another printer you will be using as the default printer. Click Next to install the driver.
Make sure the printer is directly connected to the computer and that the printer is ready to print. Click Print a test page to test the printer.
Once the test page has been printed, click Finish to exit the wizard.

Hi Dive,
What's symptom when you attempt to install it?
I noticed that there is no driver of this model for Windows 8 in its official webiste. I suspect it's caused by the incompatible driver. How did you get the proper driver before?

It's recommend to contact its official support to obtain the proper driver and professional solution.
