while attempting to connect my xbox 360 to my windows xp pc media center, i have encountered the message in the title. during extender installation when the extender code appears, it only stays on the screen for a fraction of a second then goes to this message and tells me to select 'reconnect'. if i select 'reconnect', it does the same thing but with a different code. while attempting to enable internet connection sharing i get 'an error has occurred while internet connection sharing was being enabled. internet connection sharing cannot be enabled. a lan connection is already configured with the ip address that is required for automatic ip addressing". one of the forums i researched regarding this discussed the 'network bridge as well. are these issues related to my problem?1 person needs an answerI do too

i've gotten closer here. after attempting to manually set up different network settings, then giving up and going back to automatic, things progressed a little further . . . i'm able to enter the code into media center and begin the extender connection process. but it tells me it is unable to connect.
