impossible to install WPI!
about to give up on trying to install WPI. At first I thought it was that .net4, so I did a stand-alone install it took a while but it was successfully accomplished. I then tried to run WPI install, both before and after a reboot but the log file shows the same thing. Can somebody interpret the log for me and let me know what the problems are? where I can I best upload the log file for such examination? Any volunteers? Thank you. Ross

What is WPI? You can upload a log on my IT site, I allow attachments. My MVP is for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 IT, and I am getting increasingly good with Visual Studio. Developer | Windows IT | Chess | Economics | Hardcore Games | Vegan Advocate | PC Reviews

My forums support attachments, within a reasonable size. You need to be a member of my forum to post and upload an attachment. I have uploaded it to your forum. I have downloaded WPI from Microsoft but it will not install. Interesting aside: why do you not accept .txt files? Ross

Either you have a corrupt file download or something on your particular system causing the problem. I just downloaded it from http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx and installed it on my Windows 7 Professional x64 system with absolutely no errors. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
