first of all,good morning....

so i tried to apply an wim file:

imagex /apply D:\sources\install.wim 1 G:\

and i get this error

[ 0%] Applying progress

Error restoring image.

The specified path is invalid.

i tried to find out why is this happening but i can't

S:

1)the files/partitions exist

2)I try to install win 8.1 pro 32 bit(i tried with my disk,withmy friend win 8 pro 32 bit disk,and with microsoft official iso)

by the way.....is there a windows AIK edition with imagex for XP pro 32bit? :)

Use DISM that comes with the ADK for Windows 8.1. That can be used to deploy Windows XP images as well.
