i recently updated my winxp sp2 using automatic updates and it completely screwed my internet.I can ping to any website but i cant use ie to browse. it says webpage not found. Troubleshooting says that my ftp, http and https ports are blocked. I disabled win firewall and gave explicit rights to ie to connect but it doesnt work.I flushed the dns, reset winsock but it still doesnt work. Live update can still connect and dload updates but i cant use ie.Please help1 person needs an answerI do too

i tried that it doesnt work. the funny thing is that there is the old msn explorer program installed. i can browse through that. I installed firefox and reset winsock, tcp/ip. still no result with ie and firefox.
