I upgraded to windows 8 and didn't want to change to internet explorer 10... i needed to stay on IE8 for work purposes. what can I do about this? tried installing IE8 on windows 8 and it says IE8 is incompatible. Microsoft shouldn't
make decisions for the end user. I do computer repair for a living and need my computer to act a certain way but when upgrading to Windows 8, IE10 was automatically added.

Older versions of Internet Explorer cannot be installed in Windows 8. Have you tried using IE 10's Compatibility View (Tools > Compatibility View)?

We had issues like that at my work and we used Gmail. When we used IE 8 a message would pop up saying your browser is old upgrade to a more modern browser. SO we switched our standard from IE to chrome but I still have a couple of apps that require IE.
