i removed the thinkpoint virus now i don't have a desktop

Hi stromwolf,- Are you not able to view the Desktop icons in Normal Mode?Method 1: Try booting in Safe Mode and check if you are able to view the Desktop icons successfully. For more information, see:A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XPMethod 2: Try to recycle Explorer.exe by opening up task manager (You can use Ctrl+Shift+Esc), selecting explorer.exe in the list and choosing End Process.Now go to the File menu, choose New Task and type in explorer into the open box.
