Would you specify in more detailes what type of network you have and what type of security system you use?

Hi, Before going on, I would like to verify whether it asked the password when you attempt to access the network share? If so, I suggest you checking the NTML settings: Click the start button and type secpol.msc in the search function. Browse to "Local Policies" -> "Security Options". Now look for the entry "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" and open it. Click on the dropdown menu and select "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated". Apply the settings. Hope this helps Vincent Wang TechNet Community Support
