I'm confused - but we need to know a couple of things1) What email client are you using? Outlook Express? Hotmail? Windows Live Mail? something else?2) what EXACTLY does the email look like when it arrives with you? - does itsay that it has attachments that it can't open? or are there other problem reports? with more details, and the answers above, we may be able to start getting somewhere. i have outlook express, when i have emails, there's just the text, gaps where the pitcures should be,i can get attachments okay, also Oprah Winfrey's site comes with photos so you can log on to where you want to go,i can't see these.I have a website under construction www.designaimports.com the front page has a images of 3 ladies and sparkly bling,i cannot view these images, only the text is what i see.Your question 2 i do not understand, what is a mailer?i have also used URL /yahoo/google browser to see if the images will come up with a different site, but no luck, also, when the guy who is doing my web site had something ready for me to view,i couldn't even see anything.it wasn't until he sent me an email in my inbox with a link to my site that i could see it,this hasn't worked this though,i can't see the imageandrea taylor

This is deliberate - and should not really be altered, but is a pain if you don't, and want to see emails in the way they were sent. Switching off the setting :- NOTE:- this reduces the security of your PC! InOE go to Tools, then Options, and click on the Security tab - UNcheck the box under the 'Downloaded Images' tab. Click Apply, Then OK, and all should be well. With Respect to your site, I've had a look at the code for the front page - some interesting stuff there.Your ladies appear to be part of a Flash show? If that's right, then do you have Flash installed? - or is it turned off ??You can install the latest version of Flash by going to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer (I see they try and bundle Google Toolbar with it now - uncheck that if either you already have, or you don't want it).The installer will test the installation afterwards - assuming it works, then go back to your site, and see whether you can see the header now. If not, please describe what you see in the header EXACTLY. For reference, towards the left of the header, I see a cartoon of three well-dressed ladies sitting round a table drinking tea. This is apparently embedded into a pink background with sparkly stars (which is the Flash - although I would have thought a GIF could do the job just as well - but maybe that's why I'm not a web-designer <g>) within the header also is your Site name -- the company name, presumably, over 'Authentic Products'. The cartoon and background are a simple jpg image - so presumably you can't see ANY jpg images in the browser anywhere? What happens when you go to this page? http://crashfixpc.co.uk/Personal/photo.htm - what do you see in the top left, and top right corners? Do you see any of the pictures? what if you click on one of the pictures (or the spaces where the pictures should be - they should still work as links), can you see the enlarged picture? Can you see JPG images that are on your computer? - have a look in My Pictures/Sample Pictures - there should be four JPG files there (Blue hills is one of them) if you double-click one, does it open so that you can see it? If so, what program does it open with? If not, what is the error message? Sorry this is so long, and so many questions - but we need to isolate whether this is a problem with your browser, or a problem with other parts of your operating system. Post back with results, and we'll see what we can see. -- Noel Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC

So it has caused my computer to have a malichious virus, and my service provider/broadband and macafee(security for my computer) can't help me,appalling really, any help would be most welcome, just bear in mind that i am computer illiterateandrea taylor

I see you've already found my email - please mail me (not post here) the results from the scan as well so I have some idea of what we may be dealing with.If it turns out to be a heavy infection, then I'll direct you to a more appropriate forum for assistance - otherwise we'll carry on here. ..... WRT Remote Assistance (which is where I connect directly to your PC) It's not really a good idea, if your PC is infected, as the infection could spread to mine (not likely, but possible). It's also not the sort of thing one does lightly with strangers, as they effectively have total control of your PC until you hit the cancel button. My Internet connection is al so too unstable for a session to be productive,I suspect. but if push comes to shove, it's something for later. -- Noel Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC
