i deleted videos of my first child! wife ganna kill me!
hi, i stuffed up and accidently deleted videos of my son for the first 3 months of his life! whoops. what happend is i have a 16gb sdhc card for the video camera and just a 4gb for the camera. we ran out of room on the camera so i put the video memery card in the camera and started taking picturs. when i went to put the videos and photos from the 16gb card on my pc i uploaded it from the camera. i wasnt thinking and straight away formatted the card. when i went back to look at the videos they were not videos they were like a photo, it was like the first frame of the video and frozen to a picture. ive tryed a few photo recovery programs and i get all the photos and the first frame of the video back. when i say video its not one... its about 12. please help me!shauno

Hi Shauno, Thanks for the post! Since you have formatted the card, I’m afraid we cannot recover the video. Do you have a Windows.old directory? If so, all your old data should be there. Did you try the recovery programs on your flash card? Jerry

If you did an install over your existing install (not an upgrade install), a windows.old directory will be created over your boot partition (usually C:\windows.old). This will contain your old windows directories including documents and pictures. Jerry
