i cant read files because they are encrypted..
is there a program that decrypts these files so i can see what is in them?

For encrypted files, you should have the key / pwd needed to decrypt them. Other way to proceed is considered as illegal. Other way to proceed is considered as illegal. That would depend on your jurisdiction, but it's rarely illegal to break encryption with the permission of the owner of the file. In other words, if he wants to decrypt his own files, doing so (regardless of method) tends to be legal.

That's what you said, but it's wrong. Decrypting with the primary tool or with third party tools doesn't matter, what matters is authorization. If he's authorized to have access to the files then under most legal systems, he can freely decrypt them with the tool of his choice. If not, then even using the primary encryption tool to decrypt with the password is likely illegal. As always, check with lawyer for specific advice based on your jurisdiction. Like I said, you should have the key or the password to decrypt. Unless he lost it.

Hi, If the files have been encrypted by someone, there are two ways to see the encrypted files. 1. Decrypt by the owner 2. Import or install the certificate which is provided by the owner. It is not recommend to use third party software to recovery the encrypted files.
