i cannot access tools, internet options, inprivate browsing anymore, any suggestions. I am running XP.

go to top of your Internet Explorer and right click in are thengo tocustomize->add/remove command->reset.

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using?Go to help->about internet explorer and verify the version.If it is version 7 or older , you won't see InPrivate Browsing.InPrivate browsing is available in Internet Explorer 8.You might use older version of Internet Explorer. Try to check version and if you are using older version download Internet Explorer 8.

In Addition, to use InPrivate browsing go to Safety->Inprivate BrowsingNOTTools->internet option
