iTunes application error, KERNALBASE.DLL
I open iTunes and the iTunes window pops up, then in the top box it says it is accessing iTunes store and stops half way. Then another box opens up and says "iTunes has stopped working." Below is what is found in the event log. Faulting application name: iTunes.exe, version: 10.6.0.40, time stamp: 0x4f56cf56 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17651, time stamp: 0x4e2111c0 Exception code: 0x80000003 This is something I have been working on for a while. I have tried uninstalling iTunes then reinstalled, that didn't work. I have uninstalled everything Apple and reinstalled, that didn't work. One thing that has partially worked is I made another profile in Windows and iTunes works in the new profile, but I would like it to work in my profile. What else can I do?? Thanks!!!

Hi, Do you mean that iTunes works fine in another user account of Windows 7? If so, the issue can be caused by corrupted user profile of iTunes. Therefore, I suggest to rename the corrupted user profile of iTunes, run iTunes again and see how it works. The default location of user profile is %Userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. You can rename iTunes to iTunes.old. Meanwhile, please note the folder AppData is hidden by default and you may need to set Show hidden files, folders and drives in Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Folder Options. If issue persists, it is recommended to contact Apple via iTunes Support for support. Hope this helps. If a post solved your problem, click Mark as Answer on the post. Thank you! I had the exact same issue. Following the suggestion to rename the iTunes folder worked like a charm!
