hr: 0x8007064c Please help someone
My msn is not working and I have tried everything I contacted Microsoft and still nothing seems to work. It wont install the new version of msn.I have the problem with the following below. and nothing seems to work and i have tried these steps =( Based on the submitted information, aside from 0x8007064c, you are also getting the error code 0x80070422. To make sure that you are removing the right programs, click on one item at a time then click on the Remove button until all entries with (All Users) Windows Live are deleted from the list. e) Click Exit and Restart your computer to make sure that all changes made will take effect. 4. Perform Windows Update a) Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com b) Verify that the computer requires updates, and then install the updates if necessary. c) Restart the computer after you apply the updates. 5. start by starting up system check or check disk .. this will insure that your system is fully intact, next download the newest essential and re install windows essential.. if this does not solve the problem ... most common problem concerning this matter is %appdata% missing or corrupted in that case window installer is your best bet... code 0x80070422 Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 To start the required services in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008, follow these steps: Click Start Collapse this imageExpand this image , type Notepad in the Start Search box, and then click Notepad in the Programs list. Copy the following text, and then paste the text into Notepad: sc config wuauserv start= auto sc config bits start= auto sc config DcomLaunch start= auto net stop wuauserv net start wuauserv net stop bits net start bits net start DcomLaunch Click File, click Save As, and then type Repair.bat. In the Save as type box, click All Files (*.*). In the Save in box, click Desktop, and then click Save. On the File menu, click Exit. Right -click the Repair.bat file that you saved in step 5, and then click Run as administrator. This action starts the required services. All of this did not help. I amusing Windows XP Professional (English) , and I still have the same problem. May someone can suggest more solutions?? Thank you Wael

thanks!!!! I resolved my proble with this procedure!!! security essential doesn't update in windows xp sp2... I launched the bat file and now update complete!!!!
