how to modify wired network profiles on windows 7?
Hi I'm trying to modify my wired network profiles. I want to delete a profile for my "Local Area Connection". But all I get is to manage wireless profiles only. My connection name was "Network" at first. I changed my router and now the connection name is changed to "Network 2". There is no way I can delete this "Network 2" and get back the "Network". I cannot find any list to manage my wired network profiles! I remember in Vista I used to click "customize" in "Network and sharing center" to manage the profiles. I tried "netsh" also. but no result. Please help as "Network 2" is annoying me... Thank you..

Hi Farzan86, To change your network profiles do the following:1. open "network and sharing center", make sure you are connected to your "network 2":2. Under active connections double click the icon left of your network name:3. The "set network properties" now opens, you can change the network name, choose an icon or click on the bottom on "Manage or delete network relocations":4. a new window now opens where you can merge ordelete your wired network locations:Kind RegardsFilip Wilms
