how to fix runtime error for DISCover.exe
I had to do a PC-Recovery the other day...started to reinstall some of the software I lost during this process, and just recently (as I was receiving all my PC updates), I got a popup message re: runtime error associated with DISCover.exe.Does anyone know how I can fix this without having to download 3rd party software?

Hi, 1. Are you able to use the CD-DVD drive on your computer?2. Do you get any other runtime error messages?3. Could you provide us the complete error message?4. Which software are you trying to install? I would ask you to start the computer in clean boot and use the 50 -50 approach to find the program that is associated with it and then you can re-install that application. You are required to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing this and then disable or remove it.How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-usNote: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards:Shekhar S - Microsoft Support.
