Hi,Open power options, click the power icon on the notification bar and select 'More power options'. Click the 'Change plan settings' next to the currenty active plan and click 'Change advanced power settings', now expand Sleep then Hibernate after. This will allow you to select a time (in minutes) for the machine to enter hibernation.Hope this helps :)JeffIf anyone is helpfull, please click the 'Vote as helpfull' icon. thanks, but hibernate isn't under sleep when I expand it. I think I have to enable hibernate first for the option to show up. My question is how to enable hibernation in the first place

Sorry, my bad.If you type CMD into the Start Menu search, right-click the result & select 'Run as Administrator' this will open an 'elevated' command prompt. From here type powercfg -h on and this should completely enable hibernation. Same applies if you wanted to disable it just type powercfg -h off.If anyone is helpfull, please click the 'Vote as helpfull' icon.
