how restore original ownership?
I'm using Vista Home Premium. Vista was giving me a bogus access-denied message when an app tried to create a folder. I eventually fixed this by erasing the exe and recreating it. However, before doing that, I tried taking ownership of all folders/files on the disk. Is there a way to get Vista to recreate the original ownerships for system files?

Does anyone know which directories/files in Vista are owned by "trusted installer"?If you have Vista, you could figure it out by downloading subinacl and doing something like"\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\subinacl.exe" /outputlog=c:\Out.txt /noverbose /subdirec c:\ /display=owner
