having problems with malware, i used the internal recovery tools. but then i noticed an extra user account, i changed the password immideatley. but would like to know........ . . What is the name of this "extra user account"? Is it ASP.NET? That is a system account and not malware. If it's something else, XP Home has no ability to audit files/folders and hence track activity. You should scan your computer thoroughly for malware and remove the extra user.
