I doubt your router has that capability - very few residential-class routers can throttle bandwidth per user. What is the brand/model of the router you're using?Have you suggested asking them not to download movies and videos? Or just restricting the time of day they're allowed to use it? -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

HiTher eare Entry level Routers that can be flashed with a free 3rd party firmware that allow such control. The firmware is here, http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Main_PageThere is on the page a list of all compatible Routers. This is an example for an inexpensive one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320026&cm_re=asus_wireless_router-_-33-320-026-_-Product----------------Disclaimer - I have no connection with any Brand that manufactures Network Devices (or any other computer hardware) of any kind, nor any connection with computer's hardware vendors. My comments are as a frame of reference based on hardware that I buy with my own money. Jack-MVP Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET

Well, that router as a few options you can play with I believe. You could check the Quality of Service options and see if you can configure it to prioritize traffic from your computer over anybody else's. Or maybe use the Parental Controls option and see what it offers in the way of blocking certain sites/types of traffic. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook
