I got locked out of my computer after a password change, i was advised to do a system reset and was given vista discs to do so, these where a friends, and now ive been locked out of the system because the product key is already in use, the original version of vista on my laptop did not come with any discs, i have been advised that this is like to stil be on the hard drive, could anyone help me with reverting back to the first version of windows please.

you probably have managed to lock yourself out unfortuinately if you don't have the dvd contact the manufacturer for one My MVP is for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 IT, and I am getting increasingly good with Visual Studio.
