Can you get me the computer configuration details here.It might be happening due to low memory or bad sector in HDD. I am guessing if you can paste here the machine configuration then I can suggest something

Double check connections - is the video cable snug (check both ends; see if gently wiggling an end, if hard-wired, causes a change)? Do you have different video hardware (graphics card, monitor) you could try?
