hi - this is not possible, currently.

lync to skype calls are currently only peer-to-peer. Skype clients in Lync conferences is not supported and if you try you will get the error: "Cannot invite XXX to join this meeting. This person is using a messaging program that does not support more than two participants in a conversation".

Also not, the error is a bit misleading, as you can have a 2-user conference, like when you start one with meet now, or when sharing content, but still you will be unable to join a Skype client.

Today I was in a Lync Conference with a colleague and wanted to join a Skype user. As you explained, I got the error message "Cannot invite XXX to join this meeting. This person is using a messaging program that does not support more than two participants in a conversation"

My question:

Is there a possibility to bypass this restriction?

We are 3 persons that want to have a audio chat:

For example I can imagine this scenario:

I log into my skype account instead of Lync --> 2 Skype users & one Lync user (instead of the not working configuration: 2 Lync& 1 Skype user)

Will this work?

Are there other possibilities?(of course 3 Skype user would work, but my colleague is not allowed to install it in his company)

Thanks!
