i m using windows 7 rc buid 7100 on hp compaq6715s.my laptop goes into hibernation,but when i start it it shows windows resuming message and after that a blank screen appears with a cursor on the left top corner of screen.and even sleep mode also seems notworking sometimes.

Been allot of issues with hibernation and always is and has been. Things to try is make sure you have latest BIOS version and check your power mangement sttings in the BIOS. Also make sure you have latests system board drivers for your laptop and latest video drivers also.Tim Comes

sir i have tried all those solutions before only.still problem persists...and also my norton internet security 2009 shows a problem.i tried its latest version also.it didnt gave any problem in windows 7 beta.its sonar protection is not working.at start up all works fine.but then in a minute an error message window comes displaying the message "unable to start sonar protection".

kshitijkumarsingh, There are some noted ACPI flaws with Windows 7 as of the RC, most notably cropping up in hibernation and sleep. These should be resolved as of a later release.-Alex
