ok this is alittle hard to explain but I will give it a try. ok I have lost the box that comes up when you install dvd in dvd drive and it ask you what do you want to do run setup, open and see files, and all that. so when I put a disk in nothing happens. is there a way to get this back? or do I have to reinstall windows? thanks for any help.

Hi jeniece the auto play option is disabled check this option in control panel<hardware and sound< auto play click Use autoplay for all media and devices. Hope it Helps NIKHIL

In Control Panel locate the item 'Autoplay'.From within that tool, there are selections for various disk types and various file types. Set them all to "Ask me every time" if you wish to have them all prompt you with the dialogue when a disk is inserted or a drive attached. Or simply alter the settings for the disk types or file types which concern you.Cheers(Note: The Autoplay interface is much easier to find if you choose 'Classic view' from the left pane in control panel.)
