Hi, The default gateway is your wireless router. Please check the network cable connecting to your router, make sure it is well connected. Also check the Ethernet cable connected to your network card. Make sure that the light is green. Best Regards Dale

Hello squashme, In addition to Dale's suggestions: Check that you not have a static address assigned to the NIC card. If you do an IPCONFIG /ALL what settings do you get for your LAN NIC card? Are you connecting the Ethernet Cable to the same router (i.e. your wireless router) or are you taking your laptop elsewhere? Are you using a cross connect ethernet cable? Are you connecting the ethernet cable directly to a modem/router or to a switch? What type of modem/router? If you connect another PC to the same port on the modem/router does it work? Hi If you describe what you have as Interent connetion (type. modem, Router), it might help. Check the Windows Device Manger and make sure that you have a valid instllation of a wire network card. Jack, MVP - Networking.
