Try first to use Restore if you have system restore turned on. Before you do however scan the restore point for a virus if you can do that. If that doesn't work you can use your install disk to repair your registry by reinstalling windows and then using backups to restore your files. You could also download a registry repair tool but those are never 100% safe to use. Your best bet is System Restore preferably to the first restore point you have prior to getting the virus if you know when that was.

Also if you have a good regback folder that has not been infected with any virus you could use the recovery console to replace your registry with it. Here are the steps if you want to try.1. boot into recovery console from install CD.2. command- cd c:\windows\system32\config3. ren default default.sav ren SAM SAM.sav ren security security.sav ren system system.sav ren software software.sav4. cd regback5. copy default c:\windows\system32\config copy sam c:\windows\system32\config copy security c:\windows\system32\config copy software c:\windows\system32\config copy system c:\windows\system32\config That will replace your corrupted registry with your backup registry.
