hard drive problem
my hard drive has gone bad and I am replacing it myself, I have WINDOWS7 but I don't know if there is anyway to get a down load onto my new hard drive or will I have to buy another WINDOWS program. I have a product key on the back of my laptop which indicates I had it once. Any help out there?

You can use cloning software (Ghost, Acronis, etc) to copy the Windows installation from your old hard drive to the new one. You should be able to find instructions on the procedure on the website of whichever company you choose. If you found this post helpful, please "Vote as Helpful". Go to the manufacturers website and order a set of Recovery Disks for your machine from them you can then use those to return your machine to ex-factory state.
