Review all and see notes at bottom. Bold and Underline are my notes.Internal Hard Disk driveManufacturer (Standard disk drives)Model Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 ATA DeviceSize 149.05 GB (160,039,272,960 bytes)Clearly the following is Drive CPartition Disk #0, Partition #0Partition Size 29.30 GB (31,457,280,000 bytes)Partition Starting Offset 1,048,576 bytesUnclearly the next two partitions are not seen as mapped drives - here is the dilemma - which part of these partitions are mapped as D: Drive of 53 GB? It doesn't really matter though. Without reformatting the C drive you cannot add space to it. See further notes belowPartition Disk #0, Partition #1Partition Size 105.94 GB (113,750,573,056 bytes)Partition Starting Offset 31,458,328,576 bytesPartition Disk #0, Partition #2Partition Size 13.81 GB (14,830,179,840 bytes)Partition Starting Offset 145,209,093,120 bytes Drive C: probably contains most if not all of your data files and probably all of your program files. The program files have to remain there but most if not all of your data files can be moved to the F: drive. See further notes belowSize 29.30 GB (31,457,275,904 bytes)Free Space 796.00 KB (815,104 bytes) Drive D: Volume Name LENOVO -This drive, it is imperative, must be left alone although you can use it for storage.Size 53.02 GB (56,931,377,152 bytes)Free Space 43.16 GB (46,339,309,568 bytes)Drive E: Description CD-ROM Disc -Cannot be used for extra space - Relies on CD ROM disks (extra, removable space only 700 megabytes) Drive F: Volume Name Iomega HDD -External HD - Cannot be used as extra space for C Drive. This can and should be used to remove data items from the C: Drive. It also makes a good backup vehicle for the C drive using the software that came with it or other software such as Windows back up or Nortons' Backup if you have that Antivirus suite. Size 931.51 GB (1,000,202,240,000 bytes)Free Space 931.40 GB (1,000,077,795,328 bytes)this what's happening...How do I fix C drive to expand it....it keeps on flashing LOW DISK space...Options: C Drive has less than 1 megabyte of space left!!!! You have to clean disk C: - To do this remove unused programs only via Add remove Software. Clean the disk drive using the disk clean up utility (Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | disk clean up and then move all or most of your documents, pictures, movies, song files etc to your external drive. If that doesn't solve it then use backup software to backup your C drive and D: drives to the external hard drive F: and with program disks and restore disks in hand reformat your hard drive into more sensible partitions or get a new internal harddisk for your LENOVO laptop/notebook pc if it has not exceeded its useful life for you otherwise get a new computer. You are in a predicament where there is no easy way out. Once you have backed them up. back them up in another way. You have a terabyte (1024 gigabytes) external hd. this is over 5 times the entire internal hard drive. So use it - back up everything to the F drive before wiping the c and d drives. You can use backup software and then a straight copy of all the files and folders on C to F. I make a folder on my externals called C-Drive and just copy all the files on C to it and then a D-Drive and copy all files to it. This is good in case the backup does work or you have a hard time restoring from it.Good luck. One note - back up your files. You will have to run the clean disk utility imho to even run a back up or efficiently copy files over to the external.Jay
